Kid Power

WE DID IT!!! MECKids.com has finally launched (officially 7/15/08) and we've got a 100 kids now moving and shaking to better health. As I reported back in February this project has been about a year in the making. We learned some valuable, costly lessons last year about how not to launch a kids program but all of the hard work has finally paid off.

How to Exercise on Vacation

How to Exercise on Vacation

Most people think of vacation as a break away from their normal routines. However, vacation is the best time to exercise! A daily workout, particularly while on vacation, often doubles as reflection time. Time to relax, meditate and think about what’s really important in life.

Here is a simple list of things you can do to stay healthy, alert and in shape while enjoying a great vacation.
1- Go for an early morning walk before the crowds emerge.

2- Go for a relaxing, fun run on the beach.

3- Wade in the waves for 30 minutes for a bit of exhilaration, while working unused muscles.

4- Pack an exercise band, a small Yoga/Pilates ball, a set of light hand weights and/or your yoga mat and head for the beach!

5- Need equipment for the trip? Head to www.myequilibriumcoach.com/resources.php and check out numerous types of compact equipment that is easy for travel!

6- If you're like me and you like to sleep late while vacationing, wait until evening or mid day and get your workout on.
